What if you had the chance to build your perfect football team? What if you were able to choose from the NFL's inception, to today? Who would you pick? Offensive and defensive line. Coach, offense coach, defensive coach.

Who would you choose? Also, if anyone in this thread picks your guy, you can still pick him for your team.

As a Maryland native, and Ravens fan, I would have to pick Ray Lewis. After that, I would go for Johnny Unitas. I'm thinking about Vince Lombardi, but I am only a hardcore Ravens and Patriots fan (last week was strange :foot:). I don't know stats, I don't know much more than basic football history. I'd just like to see who would make up your dream team. You can take the fantasy football cop out and choose an entire defensive line, rather than specific players. Yep, I'll take the 2000 Baltimore Ravens defensive line ;).

I might fill in the rest of the team later if I have time. And I don't know who I would draft first overall, but this would be my dream offensive line:

Guards: John Hannah, Steve Hutchinson
Tackles: Anthony Munoz, Jonathon Ogden
Center: Dwight Stevenson.

These are the best of the people I've seen. I've been following the NFL since sometime in the 70's, so the older guys I never saw.

All I know is that it will have to include Dick Butkus, Walter Payton and Gale Sayers.

I am a Redskin fan but I'd want Peyton Manning at QB. That said, we are lucky to have Donovan. A serious veteran leader. Never did jump on the Raven's bandwagon but I'd want Ray Lewis at LB without a doubt. My running back would be LT. Randy Moss at WR. Shanahan as the head coach would work just fine. Darrel Green would be one of my CBs. More as they occur to me.

Head Coach - Lombardi (duh)
Defensive Coordinator - Bill Parcels
QB - Pre-A-hole Brett Favre
Running backs - Pre-Giants (hurts me to say that) Larry Csonka, Jim Brown
LB - LT
TE - Mark Bavaro
WR - Jerry Rice

that'd be the big ones.

^ I don't think the TUNA would be satisfied playing second fiddle. Brett Favre is a chump who likes to text pictures of his junk to floosies when his wife is suffering from cancer at home. Pretty sick. I could live with Lombardi as coach and JR at WR as long as I had Green in the CB position.
