I received 4 (12" x 12" x 1" thick) pieces of the PVC (kydex) foam, and I need to build a good kydex press.
Any ideas, web links, advice, ect. would be greatly appreciated.

I wanna build a hydraulic press for kydex. Don't have to be too powerful, just something that'll move fast and give me the best kydex sheaths I can make. When I make a batch of neck knives it gets old doing the sheaths by hand.

Bwahahahahahahahah!
Getting them to stand still for 20 minutes may be a problem. :D

I am curious to what type of glue I should use for the wood/foam?

You don't need no stinking glue! At least I go glueless and it works for my press. Be sure to use a release agent of some type or you'll get a bunch of fuzzy little blue dots that have melted onto your Kydex from the foam. That stuff doesn't like to come off, either. A healthy squirt of WD-40 works great. I actually have been using cheap cooking spray and that works even better.

HiJack!

Did you know you can also use cooking spray to coat your sawblades with? Oh yeah, baby! Works great, and makes the blade saw better and stay cleaner. :)

UN-hijacked... Yeppers, a simple sleeping pad is probably the best choice for a kydex press. Use Ensolite if you can find it.
