I go to several primitive archery events in Tennessee, Michigan, Kentucky, and my home state of Indiana. I cut and sell osage bow staves. I wanted a basic camper to take to these. Since there is no water or electric hookup, I just needed something to keep me dry and off the ground. I also needed a way to haul a bunch of bow staves. I like making things I need instead of buying them. I researched a lot of shapes and designs and came up with a general idea of what I wanted to make. This winter I traded for a dual axle boat trailer and transformed it into what I needed. I wanted it to look like an tool shed on the outside. I used old barn siding on the exterior. I wanted the interior to be nice enough for my wife to go camping with me. I don't have any construction experience. I had an idea of what I wanted it to look like and just started putting it together. I recently finished this project. I've hauled it to Tennessee and to Michigan so far. It pulls great empty or loaded down. Whenever I stop for gas or to grab a bite to eat people stop to ask me about it and take pictures. I get a lot of honks and thumbs up on the interstates.

Here is a video slideshow of the build with a Seasick Steve song in the background.

Now that is a real camper. Well, done, and must have been a lot of fun building it...

Nice idea ,and enough room on the tongue to have an outhouse !!

That's a head turner of a trailer! Looks fantastic, Not only does it turn heads, I'm sure it will help you stick in client's minds. "Where'd you get that bow?" "Outlaw, he's got that sweet barn-board trailer!"
