right off the bat, sorry no pics, no camera.
scored a empty 1/8" thick steel wall construction 20lb'er fire extinguisher today. It formerly had sodium bicarb and anti caking agents in it for extinguishing agents. I emptied out the extinguisher, flushed it with hot water and then sat around drinking beers figuring out what do i want to make from it.....
it stands about 2' 4" tall x 9" wide, with 5 domed "feet" on the bottom of the extinguisher.
first thought was lay it on its side, weld on feet, drill a hole and weld on a chimney and cut off the top and hinge it (fire door). The former nozzle attachment bung would be the draft hole - thread in a pipe, route the pipe OVER the top of the stove so the incoming air becomes super heated.......
then i thought......stand it upright, use a hole saw and drill a 2.5" diameter vent, lop the container in half with a metal bandsaw, weld in a grate and make a charcoal hibachi.... (of course i would run a few bags of charcoal thru it to burn off the paint and former ingredients)..
hmmmm.... optian A (lay it down and make a mini wood stove) or Option B: (make a little hibachi)
thoughts?
