This ended up being a special knife for me, it is my 200th knife finished from bar to blade.

This is the initial piece of metal I started with. 3/16th" 5160.

Initial blade shape formed out.

Tang drawn out.

Started my initial cuts with a Flat grind on edge and spine.

Went from the Flat grind into a convex.

Cleaned up my tang and cut my shoulders.

Fresh out of the quench.

Cleaned up, ready for the guard and handle.

Fitted with a wrought iron guard that's been acid etched.

Handle of Madrone burl was burn fitted during heat treat for a no wiggle fit.

The initial fit up before peening the handle in place.

Finished up Classic Hunter.

Thanks, I try to take more photos when doing WIPs, but I end up getting focused on the knife at hand and forget a lot of the time.

Beautiful. I love everything about it. That blade shape ought to be a dream to use.

It is, I got a chance to play around with it while skinning out a hog last week. Most knives have a secondary grind, but this blade was convexed into a single grind, which made it feel like I was cutting butter, while processing that pig.
