Building up my EDC setup (newbie in need of opinions)

It seems that the more time I spend with the knife bug, the worse the symptoms become. It's gotten to the point where I'm looking at hauling around the monster of an EDC setup like you other knuts do.

Here is my situation- I'm a kid going to highschool, hanging out around town, and working on the weekends. I've got more than enough knives to carry on the weekends, but they aren't entirely sheeple friendly. I need a useful setup that will keep me mostly prepared while not raising anyone's anxiety levels or blood pressure.

My current setup:
-WWRD Bracelet
-Wallet (nothing special in it)
-Cell Phone
-Keys

What I'm looking at/for:
-A 100% non-threatening set of useful things that are VERY compact, useful, and will be wherever I am. This looks to be the Swiss Card Lite, which would be residing in my wallet. Any objections?
-A decent light that is compact. Looking at the Micro Pro from Swiss Tech (this Swiss addiction just started yesterday...), it looks like I could get both an unobtrusive multi tool, and a nice little LED. Does anyone have any experience with it?
-Something to hold it all together with. What do yall use to hold the keys, tools, etc? Is there any type of key ring/holder/thong/etc. that stands above the rest in your opinion?

Anything that I'm missing for a school friendly EDC setup? I'm tempted to add something like this, which would cover me on the small screw drivers, and provide a dedicated cutting tool though I'm on the fence about it (most leaning toward no... the risks may outweigh any potential benefits). I'm also considered buying a SAK classic to put on my keyring- if they ask, it's a tool that I always carry around with me and forgot to put up. I've got several friend who carry SAK at school, and it's always nice to have a decent knife with me.

Thanks!

drop the knife blade on the swiss card when going to school. students have gotten expelled for much less. Same goes with the utilkey. These days it's just not worth it (sadly) Furthermore they can be considered "fixed" blades,

Id go for a nicer AAA light like an Arc-P or one of the new fenix's.

I just use a standard split ring, 2 actually, one for car/house keys and one for swiss army manager, peak matterhorn AAA, and mini fox-40 whistle.

I didn't realise that that was an actual blade on the Swiss Card.

I've been looking at the Fenix lights for a while, but my mom would murder me if she found out that I spent that much on a flashlight... though that Arc- P looks like it would last me through Hell and back, and then some.

How about something like a Leatherman. One of the smaller ones or maybe an old version PST in a worn leather sheath. It all brews down to appearence. A regular multitool worn more or less in plain sight in a regular sheath will probably pass as a regular tool while a fancy pancy knife in a fancy pancy sheath will probably get taken from you.
Can someone explain to me why things like "knifeless" LM Fuse in invented in a country where they want to arm students at universities and aircraft pilots.
I have always carried something edgewise, first it was a small EKA folder, then a SAK, then another SAK, then a LM PST, a LM Wave, a LM Fuse and a Fallkniven U2. Some people have said "are you wearing a knive" and after saying No, I show them that it is a foldable plier with screwdrivers and then the danger is out of the window. Once my PST was taken from me by the guard at a bar in Drammen, but I got it back when I left.

I wish I could carry something like that to school. There was a kid who got kicked from out school last year for bringing his dad's multitool without the school's permission.

Say goodbye to the cash making your wallet fat and say hello to Peter Atwood goodies--I have and use a mini-XL (eXtra Leverage) Prybaby, and have a keyton and some other great tools of his. Mine are S30V, but Damascus is the bee's knees if you can spring for it. I tell myself I'm saving money in the long run by sparing my blades from scraping, prying, and screwdriving:

While I'm currently safe (I just dropped too much money on too many knife realted things... or atleast according to the family), it look like my wallet will be suffering in the very near future.

Thanks for the link!

When I was in grade school in the early 1960s, the class had been discussing World War II. The next day, a classmate brought her dad's M1 carbine to class for Show & Tell. That surprised the teacher and delighted us kids, but she wasn't discliplined. Different world back then.
