I found a idler tracking wheel at the scrap yard a few weeks ago and so Saturday I was watching the girls as Donna had to work 7 days last week (bummer no days off)So the girls and I went to visit Grandma at the scrap yard..I have had the 8 inch wheel for about 8 years now and never set it up,Figured now was a good time,I traded a friend out of the motor and had the drive wheel already. So I hunted the yard and found the steel and welded it up and then Sunday put it all together,Got it wired up today. Now I can grind in my curved clips allot smoother than when I was using a 3 inch wheel. Now I have 3 grinders set up.Guess I better get to grinding on something soon.

Looks good to me bubba.
Three man I only have two, I better get
buildin me another one huh! Oh, I do have
three if you count the 4x36. Well #$%^%
four I forgot about the2x42 sears which
I don`t use anymore:rolleyes: I still
think I need another one huh!!

Hey,I forgot about the 4X36 so I could count it as 4....Guess we can never have enough grinders.I don't likr taking them apart to put other wheels or platens on so I would rather build a grinder for each purpose.Guess I need to build a couple more for small wheels...:D :D
I was thinking as I built this ( that can hurt to) of how 10 years ago I was dreaming of the day I would have one grinder and stop using files. And look at me now..
I did leave the pully on the shaft on purpose,Just in case something happens to the motor and I can only find something that I have to use a belt and pully with,I prefer the direct drive wheel system though...
