bulk ats-34

[magnum .44]

i'm thinking of buying 42' of ats-34 in 6- 7' lenghts. do any of you guys no where to get it. i'm looking for a "real" steel supplier, no something like sheffield supply, their prices are way to high.

sorry..but to buy bulk steel you need to put in an order of a quarter ton or more....you are a little short....thats why sheffield and others make money doing that...they have to fork out some major bucks and sit on the stuff till we buy it....i have asked tru grit about all of the hawaiian guys going together and putting in a large order...they just laughed!!!!

a quarter ton, how many feet? of 3/16" by 1 1/2"
mike, i've bought steel from them before, didn't like it, decent quality, nothing special.
my dad's been asking around too.

nah, i think sheffield listed that at 2.5 lbs. what's a quater ton of ats-34 go for?

The primary advantage you will see in purchasing larger amounts of material is that the shipping cost per foot will be dramatically reduced. Personally I can not justify tieing up a lot of money for a long period to save a few bucks. That money will be better used as working capital.

same here george, that's why i only want a few lenghts, but the price is way to high. i'm thinking of switching to bg-42, just for the ease of purchasing. plus it is better.
