I picked up some from Ben's Backwoods. They are high quality and will run you about 3 dollars a piece. If you look hard enough on ebay you can find them for about a dollar a piece if you buy them in bulk. I also purchased these. I found these to be of lower quality and not work as well. I recommend spending the extra money. It is well worth it.

Another :thumbup: for Ben's Backwoods. I've ordered from them a couple of times and am very happy with everything. Good prices, fast shipping and very reasonable shipping charges.

Just FYI, they (Ben's Backwoods) seem to have about the best prices on Alice Packs I've seen lately.
Ben's Backwoods is a stand up, very honest operation. I was high bid on a magnesium firestarter a while back.
They sent it out and I never received it. I emailed Ben's and after a short wait to see if the pkg. was hung up in the mail they sent out another one. I will definitely do business with them again. THUMBS UP!

I think I found the same supplier awhile back. They wanted a ton of money for shipping, and would only ship FOB, so you had to arrange for delivery from the port to your home yourself. Only worth it if you are going to buy several hundred pounds of ferro rods, IMO.

The minimum is 3 cases of rods. The # of rods per case depends on the size of the rod. They stuff the cases by weight. And RichS is right about the shipping. Its FOB (free on board). So once it gets here you've got to get it to you from the port.
