I just got a catalog from Parker selling a lot of traditional patterns at reasonable prices, I was wondering if anyone has any experience with this trademark.

I was looking at a couple in the $30 to $40 range.

I have one Bulldog SJ, a Y2K commerative toothpick. I like it alot, good F&F, reasonably sharp OOB and carbon steel blade. For thirtysomething bucks I am more than happy. There were pix of it in the SJ forum down the block, on the 'other' forum. You'll have to dig back a buch of pages though.

Go ahead, you need it...no...you deserve it...yeah, that's it :)

They have a copy of a Brown and Pharr take apart knife, kinda like a reverse congress, with 2 wharncliffs, $36 is cheap I've always wanted one ever since I saw it in a knife book. I've seen the original sell for over $80 on ebay, and in one of the knife lists I get.

Maybe if I drop enough hints I'll get lucky and get it for X-mas.

That's one thing I like about collectin' old slipjoint patterns, there are just so many to choose from, with almost limitless variations on everything from scale material, to mnfgr.

Damn I love my obsession, I mean hobby, yea that's it, it's only a hobby, nuttin' more see.;)

Perhaps a tiny cut below Boker or Case in the fit and finish department but certainly an excellent knife and a very good value. Carbon steel blades.

You put Boker and Case in the same category of fit and finish?

When it comes to their slipjoints, a lot of Bokers I have seen have been pretty poor in the fit and finish, certainly below what I have seen from Case.

Maybe they have made some recent improvements.
