All,
Emerson-land is foreign territory to me, but I've always loved the look and functionality, particularly with the Wave. I had a custom 6 back in the 90's and sold it like a dummy.
I'm a small knife guy, and have typically always toted sub-3"-bladed folders. I currently carry a Benchmade Mini-HK Axis folder, but am looking hard at the Emerson Bulldog. I think there's a lot to like with this relatively small folder from EKI.
Questions for you guys in the know:
With the pillar backspacers/standoffs, are they nestled into the liners like the stop pin or simply literal spacers?
Does the Bulldog, given its smaller size, have the twin liner detents?
Are both liners Ti or is the non-locking side a stainless liner?
Does the lock/blade tang geometry promote a long, healthy lock life?
Is there any up and down play/lock rock with these knives?
Thank you in advance for any responses to my geeky questions. I can see a custom pocket clip and thumbwheel entering the picture for this knife if I end up pulling the trigger.
