I stumbled upon my Emerson catalog and the Bulldog caught my eye. I noticed that there are not too many videos on the tube regarding the knife. I kind of like it. Anyone have it or maybe have been able to hold it? Any thoughts?

Ive always contemplated one but i have a few 7s and i figure thats enough Tantos. Did a good job naming them though because they do look like one tough knife. You should buy one and then you can talk me into one!

Lol. I kind of thought the same thing on the whole tanto thing. Looks like a 7 on steroids. I don't know, I've been wanting a 13 for a long while but for some reason the Bulldog seems enticing.

Finally I can contribute constructively!

The Bulldog is a small knife, no doubt about it. If you like the feel of the Mini 15 or Mini 7, the Bulldog should be a near perfect fit.

I have the plain stonewashed blade. It's a beater, that's for sure. I found that the tip design hold true better than my 7B or SOCFK-B. However, it also cuts like no one's business.

Here's a little neat-o thing I found with my Bulldog. The standard grip, it's a bit small in the hand (giggity). It's easy to get a solid grip, though (giggitty). But-- in the reverse grip, it seats perfectly for me. It's easily on par with the Combat Karambit for me in the reverse grip, and that's saying something. The way the handle is shaped allows the bottom of the hand to seat with ease, and will easily support a reverse icepick or standard reverse grip without a hitch.

Now the only thing I think that can improve the Bulldog is to make one with a back spacer, just to improve the reverse grip comfort. Pics to come later for those interested.

The mini 15 was a great knife and fit well in my hands more so than the mini 7 at least for my hands and I don't really have large hands. Im still tempted to check it out. By the end of the day I should have figured it out. lol. If you have time throw up some pics. Next to the 7 or mini 7. Thanks

I really like the Bulldog especially the grip and I agree its the cats meow ice pick style

My bulldog arrived today, I like it. I'm not sure if it is worth the $60 more I paid for my horseman but it is slightly lighter and smaller yet fits my large size hand perfectly.
I really like the tanto blade with serrations and my serial number is below 100. I'm now working on getting a deep carry pocket because this one has the knife sticking out way to much for me. I did want a smaller Emerson and I'm glad I went with this over the mini cqc 7 or the micro commander, the bulldog is about as small as I'd like to go for an edc.

if you hold the bulldog blade over the 7 there almost identical to the point whoever is getting stuck would never tell the difference between the two lol, believe that

Thanks for the photos Ttran! I love that little knife. I have a 7and a mini-15 if I see a bulldog or mini RHouse come up one of them will likely be my next Emerson.

Get one!
I'll hold out for the Emerson kwaiken.

When the day comes, I'll buy one too! An HD version would be amazing, though I tend to like the G-10 on both sides. As for the Bulldog, me too--if I didn't have so many tantos, I'd likely pick up one of those bad boys! They look tough as nails.

Was at the California knife show last year and this was my favorite one to handle out of all the models emerson booth had displayed.

Mine is a Nathawut conversion so the feel is a little chunkier, which i like but anyone can enjoy the blade on the production one. I like the blade more than the CQC 7, it's beefier and looks meaner. The handle locks your hand into place and is not too small.

I don't hear alot about the bulldog either, but it's a winner in my book.

Franz that looks amazing! I had been thinking of having almost the same thing done to my Dog, only I'm thinking of the dog paw print clip instead of a skull. Think you just gave me the nudge....!
