Just got a full size and mini Ritter to put Wilkins grips on and Wow blades were both dull as crap not centered and loose on both. The full size feels gritty. Definitely unimpressed. Hopefully reassembling with the Wilkins and lubing and sharpening will take care of things but geesh these two are my first new flawed ones from the factory.

Well, that is unfortunate and strange.

Did you tighten the blades, since the pivots are adjustable? Might fix most of the issues you have.

Never gotten a dull Ritter Grip. I recently recieved a pink mini and it was sharp.

That sounds unusual.Mine came scary sharp, tight and perfectly centered.

Both your knives came with LifeSharp service from Benchmade. Call BM and make arrangements to have the knives brought up to spec. I have a number of Benchmades including Ritters and they all arrived very sharp.

Yup neither would cut paper let alone shave. I will put them on the sharpmaker before I send them in. The full size is the nastiest as far as mechanics. Later tonight when I put the Wilkins on hopefully the reassembling with a fresh lube and proper adjustments will set things right. I am just really underwhelmed.

I recently bought a mini Ritter Grip and the honing bevels were uneven. One side had almost none, the other was large.

The pink mini-RSK I bought for my niece is close to perfect -- sharp, well centered and smooth. I added a drop of lube to the pivot just 'cause I always do, but it didn't need anything.

Got both sets of Wilkins on and sherpened them up. The Wilks do totally transform Grips into something else!! Anyway the full still seems a bit gritty I think I will break that one down again and do a little polishing on the washers. I do LOVE the WILKINS though

I like the Wilkins sacales, also, and agree they transform the knife into something completely different. Which is why I no longer consider them to be "Griptillians".

Financially not the best decision, but for using the Wilkins scales are a good deal IMO.

Clearly this is not normal, nor acceptable. If you had called Aeromedix.com's toll-free number or emailed them they would have immediately exchanged the knives at no cost to you. Aeromedix is my partner in part because of their extraordinary customer service which includes a no-hassle 30-day full money back guarantee.

I see that you have gone ahead and sharpened and re-handled the knives. I would have much preferred to have gotten the knives back so that we could determine what the issues were. That's difficult to do without the suspect knives in hand for review. We don't often have problems, but we still aim to have as close to zero as we can get.

We stand behind our knives 100% and I work with Benchmade on these knives because they have high standards, also stand behind their product 100%, and have proven themselves to be a reliable partner over the many years of our partnership. If they have not met those high standards we want to know so we can address the problem. I apologize for your experience, that is not the way we care to do business.

Normally Brent Blue of Aeromedix would have responded here quicker, but he's out of pocket, as I have been also. I got back online first, he will be offline for a while still, and I am therefore responding on our behalf.

No worries it was bound to happen sooner or later(flawed from factory). I just thought it a bit odd that both were sub par. Don't really think yourself or Aero is to shoulder any of blame the QC guys let a few slip thru from time to time. If there were issues that I could not easily correct they would have gone back but under the curcumstances they were easy fixes and I was ripping them apart as soon as I got them anyway so bo biggie. I will prob pick up a pink ritter shortly for the girl.

Here's the swapped out handles

Wow, no help here sorry, but those things look amazing. That's odd that they're gritty though, benchmade knives are the smoothest one-hand opening knives I've ever used.
