I traded fast and furious for a few months, but after a while I realized I was just spinning my wheels. I'd get a knife, then trade it away in a couple of weeks, while my "permanent collection" stayed pretty much the same. Basically, I had too many knives! I finally sprung for a Gold membership to clean out the non-users and raise some cash to buy non-knife-related things that I don't really need either.

I understand. I'm just now sitting in a place where I don't want to get rid of anything I own. My only hope is in finding more cash to build up to trading again. I did manage to score a good buy on the Credit Card, so I am almost back in the game. I just got over the newness of the knife, and decided to trade it. I guess I'm good for a couple more turns, until I find the next "keepers" It really isn't much to work with, though. I sure wish I had more disposable income. At this point in the game, I tend to break down and give up the custom range in value to get "more bang for the buck". I will eventually upgrade to at least a Sebenza or two, and most likely a few customs, but not quite yet...

I always wanted one of those, but I can't seem to part with any of my knives.
I don't trade well with others.
Actually I've never traded, except once I traded an old Robeson ShurEdge Strawberry Bone Handle, I traded it for a NATO OTF Automatic.

Well, I ended up digging REALLY deep into my collection and found a bunch of low-end stuff that nobody will probably want, but you never know. Sometimes beginners feel left out when it comes to trading.
Of course I realize I'll just end up with a bunch of DIFFERENT low-end stuff, but at least it'll keep me entertained while I have no money and I'm waiting for customs to be made.

.What's so funny is that I swore I'd never have another automatic after I traded-off my MOD auto earlier this year, and now I've traded off the 9000 that I received just YESTERDAY from a trade!...And for the BM 806btd2 that I didn't think that I'd ever want (since I'm not too hot on "black blades").

I've sold off almost everything I had worth selling that wasn't seeing use. I have always gravitated back to smaller, "pocket sized" folders. I have finally accepted that fact and I'm concentrating on re-building my "collection" along those lines. The problem is, there are very few knives that give me what I'm looking for. A design that I like and quality in material, fit, and finish.
I still have a few to sell that didn't move the last time I offered them. Hopefully at some point there will be someone who wants them. Then I'll be able get another "fix" for this addiction.
