bummer on my AMS

So I was gonna give the nice ladies up at Busse a call today and place an order for a AMS if I went combat grade I was going green with tan or cf if it was available and try and get it with no anniversary markings and a penitrator tip I've heard about....so as I pace the house thinking if I really need 1 I said yes..mainly cuz of my recent accident I can't even open my spyderco endura or dragonfly with 1 hand so holding my tglb is just outta the question so the logical solution was to buy a nice small fixed blade....problem solved and... then tragedy struck....the insurance and workmans comp people called and basicly said you'll get a checks at some point but we can't tell you when or how much they'll be for......so im still at just 1 busse and wanted to start buying more but know the money I do have or had went to couple months of rent and other bills......why oh why cant i catch a break.....lol...maybe in a month i can at least scrap enough to get a busse kin HDD....i just need something............you all have turned me into a addict and i know from reading other threads your a bunch of busse enablers.....is there a rehab i can check into
 
L-O, be patient Brother, been out on W/C before myself and it will come around. Trust me I know the I want thing. I'm getting ready to retire in a year so the days of money are coming to an end and I'm having to evaluate what I'm going to keep and the ones that I'm letting go off. You are on one end of the spectrum and I am on the other but facing the same dilemma, your buying can't get started and mine can't continue:grumpy:
 
Man that really stinks. Just be patient and hopefully everything will work out soon.

I am told....by a "friend" ....if you go "downtown" there is a "guy", he works a corner see.... if you know the right approach...he may be able to fix you up.... careful.... he might start you off on a "cheap taste" ....like an AMS.... but soon.... yeah bro...real soon... you will be stealing VCRs to try and quench your MOAB habit..... :eek: :eek:

I know how you feel, in a way. I've had to sell my grails to pay for medical bills for a chronic health condition I have. My prognosis is good, but when it was bad, I was getting bills that were more than the cost of the Audi A3 I want ... And yes I said BILLS, plural. I do have health insurance, by the way. I sold a lot of blades here and elsewhere that I'd love to still have. The ones I miss the most are the Tigerhide LEs, SFNO LE, ASH-1 LE and most of all the SAR-6 LE in my avatar.

My SAR-6 LE is still my favorite knife, even though it had to be sold. It had the most beautiful Tigerhide and the grind and finish were perfect, not to mention how incredible that knife is. Anyways, enough about my long lost love.

It can be tough when you get the INFI bug. Over time though, you find out that you become addicted to the people and the knives are the common bond. :D I'm a show bunny if you will, haha, which means I spend more on making the shows to see the people than I do on the knives. Hopefully you'll make some great friends on here as I have and that'll help you get through the knife withdrawals till the timing is right for you to get a new piece of INFI. :thumbup:
 
Brother, the spending can get out of hand real quick. Try to keep it under control. This is a good community:)
 
I'd like to thank everyone for all the kind words. Its nice to know there are people out there who care. I sincerely hope that 1 day I get to meet you guys and thank you personally...I can't say it enough....Thank you guys.

My precious!! I'm glad she's being used well by a good guy and not in some stuffy safe, slowly rotting away in some tomb of a safe. I still wish it was in my safe though. I'd like to think that I would've gotten the courage to use her, but she was just such a Gorgeous knife in person. I remember the handles being the best feeling handles Micarta handles I had ever felt. I love Linen Tigerhide! If they'd do it, I'd pay to have it put on all my knives, well maybe not the Res-C ones ;).
 
There's no rehab, the only fix is more INFI.

Hang in there though. Things will turn around soon enough.
