Dovebid has an online auction going with a bunch of milling machines and surface grinders and all kinds of cool stuff ending today (Thursday). About 12 hours as I am typing. New York, Michigan and Ohio. Here is a link to the equipment catalog. Most of this stuff has low prices right now and will probably stay down somewhat since they have so much. I saw a nice surface grinder sell for $150 a couple weeks ago. They have some hardinge lathes with $50 bids on them.

Here are links to a couple of the actual items...
Bridgeport with $250 bid and 12 hours left
Another Bridge with $250 bid, several more bridgeports listed
6x12 surface grinder with a $250 opening and no bids, many, many more listed
Huge Doall bandsaw $300 bid
17" heavy buffalo drill press $100 no bids
Glass Knife Maker? I have no clue, just sounds neat :D
Hardringe horizontal bench size mill of some type $100 no bids
Cincinnati vertical mill $50 and no bids!
Blue M lab ovens, probably 20-30 mills, many surface grinders and tons of lathes, just all kinds of stuff that makes my special purpose happy. :D

Cool links. The bridgeports look good, but that $50.00 Cincinnati Toolmaster mill is quite something. I hear they're much more rigid than a BP. Not to bash BPs, I love mine, but a Toolmaster...ooohhh my!

Yea, that bad picture will probably keep the price down. I wish I had some extra money, it would be worth the drive.

The Hardinges didn't do much for me as I already have one that started life like those but spent 20 years with someone very talented and is much cooler now. But the 14 x 30 Monarch...boy would that be nice to have. One of those Browne & Sharp Micromaster 6x 18 surface grinders would be a dream too.

Lots of cool stuff. Too bad it's so far away and I'm so short on space. But I'd sell my BP in a heartbeat for that Toolmaster.

Any idea how they do shipping at those things? I could use a drill press, but I don't think I could make the drive to Ohio (and I don't think it would fit in my Honda :)).

They have shippers go in and crate it and truck ship them. It would cost you more money than you want to spend I am sure.
Stuff ending in the next hour and there are still several surface grinders with no bids starting at $250. I don't want to hear about no-one not being able to afford one!!! :D :p

does it show the condition anywhere?
(is there a description)
