What kind of steel is the explorer bowie.

It just says 440 stainless - pretty vague. But, I had a couple of other knives from this Explorer company. I don't know anything about the company. However, I also had quite a few Junglee knives and I would swear they were made in the same factory. Some of the various knives between Junglee and these Explorers have Way too many similarities in design and little details of "How" made.
I don't know any way to determine more info about which 440 steel is used on the Explorers, but the Junglee knives are pretty decent steel AUS-8.
