With all the talk of WWII's I figured I should post some pics of mine. It's a 16.5" Horn Handled WWII made by Bura. It weighs 24 ounces and balences 1 and 3/4" in front of the cho. Which is almost in the center.

Here are some pics:

You can really see the fuller in this pic

The handle has some nice grainlines in it:

Good thing you didn't have Pen put an edge on it...
:D

I like the flare to the rear of the handle. I like that kind cause you can kind of wrap your pinkie around there and swing with it.

Nice pics,a nd nice knife. Horn-handled WWII are the best :D. My engraved AK has horn details like that, I took about a dozen photos in various light conditions but got nothing usable. I need to try again since it is quite beautiful. It has some white streaks, and bands of varying dark. Photo only seems to get one dimension, while the eye sees the depth.

What kind of file is that on the bottom of the last pic? :D

The shape of that karda is one of the nicer ones I've seen.

mPisi, that sounds like a sweet handle. Please get some pics, I'd love to see them. Glad you like the pics. It was fun taking them and chalenging.

Bruise, the file is called a "Flat File". Comes in a set of 4, with a Rasp, round and triangle file. It's a Great Neck (never heared of them before), 4 pc. Home File set. You can by it at BigLots.

Yeah, that Karda is rather nice. Would do good as a pairing knife, skinner or capper.:)

hollowdweller, I too really like the shape of the handle. It fits my hand nicely. If I didn't know any better, I would have guessed that Bura made it to fit me.:)

WarrenR, it is lucky that Dan didn't sharpen it.;) Horn can have some great coloring to it. I am really starting to take a liking to Horn. Guess you could say I'm horny. :p lol

yerik, glad you like the pictures. i had fun taking them.:)
