I was waving my Bura chiruwa around last night (yes, the one with the finger grooves :) ), when, and this is really weird, I thought the blade said "Remember he who made me".

OK, I promise to get my meds adjusted as soon as I can get to the Doc.

But, in the meantime, Uncle Bill can you give us an update on how Bura is doing?

Thanks

i thought i had problems with my meds, ha ha .:)
i liked your post brought a smile to my troubled day.:)

So what is the problem? Your khuk wants you to ask about Bura. A simple enough request. Why do you feel the need for medication adjustment?

Just remember what I've said before, that what is reality in the U.S. isn't necessarily reality in Nepal.

Everytime I see L.B. on my khuk I also wonder how the guy is doing as well.

Bura is doing fine. He can pound steel and has taken on helpers. Pala buys his meds and he takes them faithfully. I bought a little gift for him and a watch for his wife which Pala will hand deliver next week. Pala leaves Tuesday and will be back on duty at BirGorkha Friday. Things slide some while Pala is away.

Give my Blessings to Pala on a safe and uneventful return.

It was a pleasure meeting such a fine gentleman at the Convention.

I'd be more worried if the khuks DIDN'T talk to you. And that crescent moon...well, it's like a friend.

Bill? The postmaster here swore the antlers would get there. I hope before Pala leaves (priority mail My a**). There was one branch that just begged to be part of an HI masterpiece.

In any event, wish him well for Me. In an odd way, he is part of my life, such as it is.

How fares the wonerful Sanu? Last I heard he was working with his dad at his shear making/sharpening place? Hope he'll be back, he does a wonderful job. I wish him and his family the best.

Keith

The blades do talk to a feller if he is listening. Mine talk to me quite often. The only problem when I first started using the khuk's was, that half the time I would wind up with some of the red stuff seeping out of nicks in the skin. Then there were times that vibration let me know right quick that I had missed the sweet spot by a margin. It didn't really feel good so I learned to quit doing that.

They have taught me enough that I just love them now. My big double bit Axe I still put to use once in a while but the little saws and hatchets have been pretty much retired for all but driving stakes.:)
