Last I heard he is in college. (A long long time ago in the distant land of Nepal) For a short while when "shop 2" first opened up he was the one who put serial numbers on the Khukuris.
Most of the guys that make Khukuris do so to provide a better life for their families. That is part of the Magic.

Good for him... And I agree with you about the second point. I was just curious as he was the one who made my khukuri. It has been wonderful and I was wondering if he had any aspirations of following in his father's footsteps.

Dave, you've got Sgt. Karka's son, Ramaswore, mixed up with Bura's son. Bura's number one son by number one wife is the fellow who does the engraving. Ram is still in college and doing very well but Sgt. Karka has fallen ill and his meds are very costly.
