Sal,
Recently I remember reading about a possible collaboration with Burchtree Knives. Please, please, make a Spyderco/Burchtree Chubby. This looks like it would have incredible cutting power as well as great ergos. Did I forget to say PLEASE. :D

Put me down for a Burchtree/Spyderco Chubby.

Make sure it has a carbon steel blade though.

This is the first I'm hearing of this. If it's true, put me on the list right NOW. I would love to have a Burchtree, but can't really afford one right now. He makes gorgeous knives and any collaboration with Spyderco would be awesome.

This is the first I've heard of this too. :D There isn't anything in the works unless there is another Burchtree out there. :D

I think this originated when a poll was taken by a non-Spyderco person who asked the question....."Which custom knifemaker would you most like to see have a collaboration piece made by Spyderco?"

Of course several said, "Burchtree" so I guess it originated there.

WE CAN ALWAYS HOPE THIS EVENTUALLY TAKES PLACE!!

Man... I guess I'm back to saving pennies :D

I WILL have a Burchtree at some point.

Well that's not good news at all.

I guess I'll just have to keep an eye out for an original Chubby. They're as rare as hens teeth as far as my searches are concerned.

I'm just waiting for someone to post a classless, overly sexual joke about a Chubby...

Anyways, put me down for one as well! Carbon steel blade for sure, what about the CPM M4 like in the latest Mule Team? :D

just thought I would bring this up from the depths for fun since the chubby is near :)

Too late for that joke? ;)

I've got to get a pre-order in on this one. Thanks for the reminder Popsickle.

There is no way to really talk about this knife and have it not be sexual in some perverted way.

but anyways, I look forward to getting my hands on that new chubby.

I thought it was cool doing a search and finding a thread from 2008 on a knife that wasn't even a thought back then but is now being released :)
