Nice, just real nice! and surprisingly it arrived very very sharp too, pleased look on my face ;)

Here are some quickly taken shots with my ipod touch when she arrived today;

She's hefty and solid, lock is a little sticky but I'd rather it stuck than closed when I wasn't expecting it too, so not a big deal, will try the pencil lead on it and see if that helps at all.

Anyone else have one yet?

Nice job Michael and Boker, very nice,

i have one in the mail love the look of this knife hope they did a good job on the heat treat on the 440. how she feel in the hand?

Feels very good in the hand, weighty but nice, the back side of the liners are a little crisp but not too bad, the lock is still quite sticky but again, I prefer that over not being locked up solid ;)

Here are a few more images of the knife, I tied a paracord with two Diamond knots, one near the handle to facilitate removing the knife from the pocket and one to end the loop, works nice. If you are concerned about the knife in heavy traffic situations, someone trying to nic it from your pocket or in the woods and lots of underbrush, you can put the loop under and around your belt and drop the knife through the loop and then clip it to your pocket, it isn't going anywhere in that arrangement.

I'm a bit of a newby when it comes to these knives .
How does the blade lock work ?
Nice lanyard

Ken

Lanyard is cool ;) as to the lock, it's just your typical liner lock, just sticking a little more but should work itself out in time.

and today my Ipetus made her grand entry into my home in switzerland. i bit bigger than i thought but not too big. fits my large size hands nicely and the weight foreward balance feels good. it was a bit grity fresh out of the box but did fire open the frist try, a drop of oil on either side of the blade and it feels better now. very sticky lock allmost to the point of needing a tool to disengage the lock bar , this will likely improve with use.and this baby is sharp, really sharp allmost tree toping sharp, mirror bevels with allmost no grind marks, with a bit of stroping iam sure she will cleave a hanging hair. i for one have never seen this level of sharpness out of the box.all in all iam happy with this boker. i would like it better with a higher grind and better steel but ill see how the 440 holds up. built like a tank, ill be keeping this one

Nice :) I'm liking this one more and more, the grind not being as high was holding me back from buying it but I gave it a chance and glad I did, for most things you cut, it doesn't seem to be an issue at all. And like you, I found the edge on arrival quite sharp, surprisingly so.

Mine was also gritty on opening, I've applied a few drops of Nano Oil and now, WOW, you believe it has the bearing system inside, it glides open and closed very smoothly but this was after a few times putting Nano Oil on the pivot.

The lockup has been better for releasing finally, I did clean the facing surfaces with alcohol and then rub a pencil along the face, not sure which one did the trick, it's still a tight lockup but works better now.

And the weight, it certainly is a tank, it feels like a custom, I'm remind of the scene in Jurassic Park, where they were stuck in the trucks and the boy found the night vision binoculars, the lawyer asked 'are they heavy?' the boy replied 'Yes' to which the lawyer said 'then they're expensive, put them back!' lol so we equate quality/expensive with weight, this one is hefty and feels like a quality folder. ;)

This thing continues to impress, here's a shot that shows how nicely contoured the perimeter of the knife handle is done, very solid, comfy grip on this knife.

I've got to stop looking at your gorgeous pictures of this knife. It's like looking at a beautiful derrière walking down the street while you're with your wife.

Can't say that I blame you, it's a very sexy knife for sure, big and brawny but nice, like a lady lumberjack ;) A guy at work is anxious for me to sell it, I told him I'm hoping I don't get to that point!

I've used this for a short while now, blade is staying nice and sharp, lock working a bit better.

For those that do end up getting one, you might need to put a few drops of oil on that pivot, mine was a little coarse to start with but some Nano Oil and wow, showed her to a fellow at work and he couldn't believe how smooth it was!

I'm really interested in this one. I wonder how it compares to my ZT0301? I like a larger beefier knife, but the 301 is just a tad too large for anything but jeans. I looked up the specs and this one may be just the ticket.

I don't have a 301 to do a direct comparison, but here are some measurements

Widest spot is the top of the blade just before it drops to the tip, closed it measures from that point to the back of the handle about 1.67"
if you want to include the flipper, the width from blade to back of the flipper is about 1.8" wide

Handle measure about .65" thick

closed length is about 4.44"

hope those help

Nice, it grows on you too, been carrying it steady now since getting her, sliced up several boxes and stayed razor sharp, also nice ;) and boy is she smooth too!!

Just wanted to share my experience with this knife so far. I've had and carried this knife for a couple months now and it's GREAT for sure. I carry it every day. The lock came super sticky but with some permanent marker on the blade tang it help facilitate my breaking in time period. After about just a week of flipping this beauty its now super smooth like butter(no further need for any lock stick problems). It's really fun to flip as well. The Knife is extremely beautiful and extremely smooth. I actually enjoy the hefty weight and I couldn't be more pleased. Great job Boker!
