Have to say Senate, I was very relieved when I first saw that thread and picture. When I first heard "burgundy FRN", visions of the "burgundy" Spyderco Forum Vesuvius crossed my mind. That Calypso Jr. is another one I'll need two of, as it will team up nicely with my micarta Jester.

IIRC the poster of these pictures stated that the burgandy was actually red and the picture wasn't 100% accurate. (although I like the shade the picture shows). I think that the burgandy vesuvious was too dark. Maybe Joyce would have a color pallatte (sp) of what may be in the works. Please

Also those pictures are not of the new Caly, they were old prototypes, so the clip and whatnot may be different than shown.

Regardless of colour, if the intended ZDP Calypso Jr is an improvement on the Grey FRN model ( my most carried and used knife ) I will be good for a couple. Hopefully the theoreticaly improved steel will not raise the cost by too much, one of the many beauties of the Grey Calypso is the fact that this knife is affordable and thus very usable. Looking forward to this one being released.

I like the bead blasted clip on the gray Jr. I hope Spyderco does not change that. Now if they want to put color matching bugs on the gray Jr and blue Delica clips, that'd be ok with me.
