I did this one as a custom order. I love ironwood, as much as it stinks (literally, smells like coyote poop when you sand it)

The thicker 15N20 I get is amazing stuff for a bush knife. I left the forge finish and spine draw colors on and worked the finish on the edge and handle really high. Subtle but effective filework on the spine and the dropped edge guard. I prefer to keep a light touch on the filework to not overwhelm my general style. The burl is sure nice, and the whole knife is full of details.

Fun project!

11.25 inches OAL with a 6.25 inch blade. .118 15N20, full quenching and tempering with a spine draw. "scandivex" edge grind finished on a strop.

I messed around with the photos a bit, too- the different angles are cool for the blade, it's hard to show off the handle (especially on a thunderstorm cloud laden day)

eventually I will do some more burl for sale, but that one was an order.

I really wnat to do a scratchard up with this.
