I did not know this. I ordered several days ago from burl source. I was pleasantly surprised when my stuff came in today. When i opened the box i was more impressed. I ask him to cut down some stuff for pocketknife scales. He did not charge me a extra cent to do this. I got to looking at the stuff and it was bookmatched already and dead flat. I put it on a lapping plate and it needs nothing. All the scales were within .005 from end to end on the thickness and several were within .0005. This will save me 30 min per knife. I dont buy as much as i use to ;however, I will be buying all my wood from him. Great person to deal with.

I too have had great results dealing with Mark,
and as Rick said the wood came very flat and
true from end to end.

Same here, I've been very happy with Mark's stuff.

Mark is the best. I have had nothing but fantastic service from him. He's even gone out of his way to suggest blocks that I might like, which of course I did. ;) :p

Got some great blocks from him today. I didn't realize looking at the pictures how big they were. outstanding

I have dealt with Mark and agree that his product is good and his customer service and communication is superb.

As a moderator, I also appreciate the way he has tried very hard to follow the selling rules and be a team player here. He gets two thumbs up from me. He probably is worring about this thread right now.

This probably belongs in the "Good, Bad, Ugly" forum , but the folks who it most applies to are all here, and not usually over there - so I think I'll leave it here. After it has run its course I will move it to the "Hall of Fame" , where buyers can find it later.

Thanks for the kind words.
I have a lot of fun seeing the photos of what you guys are able to do with the wood you get. I've really learned a lot from everyone here on the forum.
