Wow, the new Burlwood Kalinga I ordered from the web specials page just came and it is BEAUTIFUL.

I really like my Jaguar LE with the Palmwood and the Ironwood buildout, but I think I just found my new favorite! It's way after dark here now, so I'll have to wait until tomorrow to take pictures, but I'll post them when I do.

Here you go. Two versions of the Jaguar Kalinga.

both spectacular Plum:thumbup:

Thanks fritz, the Boone and Crockett set of 110's will be here today and I think one of them has the same wood as the Burl Kalinga.

Now, if the custom shop would offer some of it, I'd sure go for one.

Looks like I'll have to reach in my pocket next month if any are left by then. (My May spending quota is full.)

That is gorgeous. (I already have a palm wood Jaguar that looks just like yours.)

BTW it looks like the Michael Prater fossil scales & tooth Kalinga Custom Proto has sold. I was wondering if you bought it. It would give your set a nice crowning jewel. It was too expensive for me. :)

Very nice, although I'm not much of a wood guy. When I came home from Iraq for R&R last year I stopped by the factory store in Post Falls. They had some Kalinga build outs with buffalo horn handles that were real nice. I think they were $70. For some reason I decided to get a 120 FB that was $40 thinking I would get the Kalinga when i got home in 3 months. Of course by the time I got back the horn Kalinga's were gone and the jasper handled ones were $160 IIRC.

Wasn't me. I wish it had of been though.

Was the buffalo horn like the one in the middle? It's pretty cool too, but I'm really a stag and wood guy.

Yep, it was the one in the middle. IIRC it did'nt have the blade swedge the regular Kalinga has.

Great looking knives,Dave. Did you notice that the anvil is reversed on the center one?

Wow those Kalingas are something else. After looking at those beauties,I couldn't decide what one I liked best.:confused:My wife and son had a good look as well and after much debate we all went for the Buffalo:thumbup: Buck Custom did such a fantastic job shaping and polishing that horn it looks like onyx.:D The Burlwood lost by a hair:)They're all great,so hard to decide. Thanks for the photos Dave
