Here is a link to a write-up I did on a woodworking forum regarding a burn I got from a router bushing and how well Burn-Jel salve works to immediately alleviate burn pain and moisturize the skin to keep it from blistering and scarring. The active ingredients are Lidocaine and tea tree oil (melaleuca oil). In my small experience with it, Burn-Jel is amazingly effective.

It is great stuff.

My medical protocols are not to use the stuff.

I use it anyway due to the results.

aw man router bushing burns are PAINFUL!

+1 to BurnJell, i tend to slop it on right after a burn, cover with guaze and then rinse off with clear water a little later and leave the skin dry.

its GREAT stuff for sunburns

it's great, I've got some in my woods first aid kit, where I work at they keep it on stock because we work with hazardous chemicals!!!!
