The infinite posibility of "drawing" with damascus never ceases to surprise me. I named this pattern Burning Bush.
Steels are 5160-15n20, phostatized.
420 ss guard, ironwood handle with german silver spacer and domed pins.
Although this piece of ironwood has some natural small cracks, it has a lot of activitly (poorly shown in the pictures) so I decided to use it anyway.

Hope you like it.

That's a nice little hunter with really interesting Damascus and lovely Ironwood. Neat photos, too.

Good job!

John

Thanks guys!
BTW: I will be taking this little one to the Buenos Aires Knife Show this friday-saturday, if he survives I will post it in the sale section.

Manuel that is quite possibly the most amazing damascus I've ever seen!! Your work is just beautiful.....jaw-dropping and eye-popping!!

that is definitely a sweet knife.

Can you reveal to us how you did the damascus pattern or is that a trade secret? I can usually figure it out, but this one has me stumped.

Thanks guys!
Travis, sure man: its a W that is cut lenghtwise and rewelded in the middle what use to be in the sides, thus making the points of the U face the outside instead of the inside. Got it?
After that is twisted quite tight, this one was a 1x1" bar when I twisted, flatened it very little and mill off most of it in each side.

Your blades are so nice. I mean the damascus and handles are great but I always get drawn to your grinds and profiles, they are always so clean and precise.

Great job.

Very nice. I especially like the Damascus. You always create interesting patterns and get such good contrast.:thumbup:

Nice one! This is probably my favourite hunter of yours...looks very comfortable. Just the right size for a hunter...oh yeah, killer Damascus!!!

A lovely pattern and wonderfully made hunting knife. That should give some good bragging rights around the camp fire.
