While I was out and about today I came across these bones, I'm guessing Deer !

Never waste a find like this, just use some other natural materials (I used Cedar root) and create some creepy forest art to freak out any passing sheeple that notice it !:D

A little farther on I came upon a huge patch of Skunk cabbage, check out the size of these leaves !

Snicker looked for squirrels while I loooked for wild edibles.

Found lots of Common Camas.

And also some Field Chickweed but not sure if this stuff has any uses or not ?

Something useful I did find was a wasps nest( That's the home in my thread title, lame eh !).

I wonder how many people will run into that and be scared. It would be hilarious if that someone got on TV for someone thinking it was a human bone

Hey don't say that, I was only thinking what if they were human as I walked back to the trail head !!!!

We have had quite a lot of bodies showing up on the Island recently !!!!

Hey pitdog, isn't that the kind of thing you found attached to a tree that made you uneasy??? :D

Your (West Coast) version of Skunk Cabbage was apparently used by early peoples in the same manner as we now use waxed paper. And, apparently, no smell was transferred to the food it contained.

Pitdog if you go to jail..................

I get your knatchet right?

actually the bone thing reminds me of a time when a freind and I went hunting, shot a deer and when we gutted it we found a hiking trail and strung the guts in the trees to scare people. Then sat back and watched a few yuppie hikers freak out, lol!

you did wear gloves, right? if not, go back and wipe off your fingerprints. haha.

actually, that would creep me out. nothing more dangerous out in the woods than the two-legged kind, high on something. i'd rather run into a bear.

Just whatever you do make sure you do not rearrange the bones like a foot and put them in a sneaker. That wasnt you last time was it?

Thanks for the taste of BC, one of my two favorite places on the planet. The best breakfast I had was in Ucluelet. A salmon eggs benedict in a breakfast place/one or two lane bowling alley.

LOL, yeah that was me.....bad taste or what !!!!:D

The paper wasp nest works great. I blew one into flames with flint & steel & piece of glowing charcloth. I have to say though, the smoke don't smell very nice!
