Hey folks,

I bought a CS Talwar yesterday (great design by the way) and disassembled it because there was oil all over the inside of the handle scales. So I noticed that the sides of the lockface of the blade (were the hammer locks the blade) are slightly burnt (bronze-yellow color). Do you think I should give it back to the knife-shop or just use it?

Thanks and greetings from Austria - and a happy independence day to you ;)

Can't say for sure, but it's probably just left over color from the tempering process that didn't get fully polished off, since it's on a hidden part of the blade. I wouldn't worry about it if it were mine, but then I don't claim to be any sort of expert. :D

Thanks for the well wishes.
