Burrking vs Hardcore ?

I always thought they were essential the the same. That said Im all for supporting small business. Hardcore is just this with good customer service. For me though I would not buy this style grinder unless it was a dedicated platen or contact wheel grinder. To me it takes to much time set up time to switch between them.

Just my 2cents.

Both very smooth, both almost identical, Burr King came first, both take too much time to change attachments.

I'd like very much to have a Burr King set up as a dedicated flat platen machine. They are extremely smooth!

they are so close to the same that parts interchange. the tensioning system on the burr king is IMO better than the one on the hardcore. But if this is going to be your only grinder and your spending that much you will be better served with a tw90

I miss my BK.. BUT it's not designed as a flexible grinder like the KMG or other similar grinders. Flat platen to small wheel change over took nearly 45 to an hour....... If you only grind with a plated or wheel then it's fine, if you need flexibility go with something else or buy 2.

I agree. Those things are expensive. I've never used or even seen one and I'm sure they're well built, but if you're going to spend that much you can get way more versatility in a TW90 or Wilmont TAG.
Heck, you could buy a KMG and have a more versatile machine plus money left over for more steel :)

Are we talking snuff films here?

Oh. Wait. Not Burking Hardcore. Burr King Hardcore.

Forget I said anything. :D

I have a Burr King. It is a very nice machine. Quiet, good tracking, etc.
I also agree with the above posts. It takes too long to change from a wheel to platen, etc.
A KMG, TW90, Bader, square wheel all have quick changes. For me that's importaint. Since I have several grinders I keep my Burr King set up with a ten inch contact wheel all the time.
