Burrs on OHT Saw?

I finally got myself an OHT. I haven't really had the chance to use it yet but I like it so far. The only issue is that the saw teeth are all covered with burrs. Is this usual for Victorinox saws? I'm just a bit surprised since the F&F is usually so good.

I've had several , nary an issue with mine . Saw a couple of pieces of wood , that should deburr it pretty well .

I assumed the burrs are just cosmetic. I just wanted to know if they were usual. Thanks. Can't wait to use it.

Yes it's quite normal to have some burrs, the amount of burring can vary between knives, they go with use so nothing to worry about.

I've had 4 Victorinox saws and all have had very thin burrs on the teeth. this is very normal and I've noticed them just like you have. After the first use, they're gone and the saw is sharp as can be.

Are you talking about the paper thin pieces hanging off the saw teeth that you can scrape off with a fingernail?

those little burrs are from the milling I guess, they always come off after use, I have seen this on all of my Vics to include my new OHT PE that I got about a month ago.

Thanks for the info everyone. Glad to know it's normal.

Yes

I have three Vic Farmers and every one had light burrs on the saw teeth straight from the factory.
Take an old toothbrush or nailbrush and wipe it through the saw teeth in all directions and it will take them off.
