I waited almost a year for this one and I'm real glad I did.
220 layer O-1 and 15N20 forged ladder pattern Damascus, Calif. Buckeye Burl handle (that is some WILD burl) and nickel silver guard. OAL 7.25". I think she's a keeper and for me a user.

Yes, you have quite a nice one there. Equally suited as a fine user or in a fine collection.

I wish more makers would date their knives as Burt and Tim Hancock do.

Thanks for the compliments guys. Burt sure makes an excellent knife. I wanted to add that the handle design makes this one perfect "in hand".

Sorry, I should have posted a picture of the sheath too. Here it is. Made for horizontal carry, with a nice snug fit.

great looking knife. I'm sure you will enjoy it. I love horizontal sheaths and the mix of color in the sheath to match the color of some of the handle is great. Worth the wait I'm sure.

Man, that is some cool looking burl! Maybe it's all the beer I drank, but I swear I see the head of a Grizzly bear and some kind of other beast's head pictured in it. :D

Awesome hunter. Perfect package... typical Burt :D

I hate to say it, but I agree with Dan... I totally see a grizzly in that handle! And all I drink is water, coffee, and diet pepsi!!! :D

Danbo, I think I'm gonna have a few beers and look for that Grizzly!

Absolutely beautiful!!!

I'm not a big fan of wild burls, but I will say that Burt always nails the handle shape and overall flow on a knife. And that I think that blade is the perfect size for most everyday stuff.

On the top photo I also see a fish head at the back of the handle pointing toward the end of the handle. I also think a bunch of us ought to get together and go take some ink blot tests but I fear most of us would be locked up or they would reccomend us to stay away from sharp objects.

I just received a Personal from Burt too and I must say that I wish I'd gotten my order in ahead of yours! Don't get me wrong, the wood on mine is beautiful, but yours is just over the top! Congratulations! (and if you ever want to sell it, let me know!)

+1 on the feel. I also got one of Burt's Blue Collars and even though they are very different knives, both feel very good in the hand.

The workmanship on both knives and sheaths was top notch throughout, and Burt was a real pleasure to deal with. All-around a total class act!

I really liked it at first....until I thought I saw Rosie O'Donnell in the handle on the first image!

The other side looks a lot better. :)
