I was pleased to get this one from Burt recently. Though beautiful, it will see a lot of hard use over time as it is a monster chopper made for work. It features a forged full-tang laminated blade (416, 1095) with forge texture and matched stabilized spalted maple scales fixed with domed nickel-silver pins. The pouch style sheath is tooled leather with faux inlays. OAL is 15 1/4 in. and handle is 5 in. even. It's a heavy-weight chopper at 1 lb. 5.4 oz. Burt's legendary attention to detail is evident throughout.

Everything about it is top shelf from the blade to the awesome handles and sheath. Congrats that's quite the score. :cool:

Buddy great grab from Burt. I love his laminate and this one is both beautiful and begs to see some use. I imagine you will put it to the test!

Congratulations, Jon

I've been eagerly awaiting your pics on this beauty. I told Burt whe he posted this knife that my socks were knocked right off, and here I sit barefoot again. :) A lot of strong visual elements combine very well here for an impressive and memorable piece.

Congrats Buddy!

SO clean and purposeful. If it weren't so useful, I'd call it an artsy-fartsy Art Knife. ;)

Don't you LOVE shooting your own projects? You can go out on a limb and no one to critique but yourself. Compelling images, capturing exactly the things that make this formidable.

AA++ all around.

Burt's blade and handle shapes, and as Buddy says, his attention to detail, add up to another Foster beauty with strength. His sheath work is a top addition. That "faux insert" is unbelievable.

Buddy,

That's a great looking chopper. I'm sure that if you use it, it will get the job done.

Outstanding work all around. The perfectly centered laminate is testament to Burt's hammer control. I'm sure that in addition to the wonderful aesthetics, the knife will also excel in the ergonomics and cutting departments
