I admit it--I really love Burt Foster's work. But I also admit I am "afraid" to use what I already own. So I contacted Burt about making me something that I (might be able to) would use. I started thinking about Micarta handles and belt finishes. But, what the heck, I figured that laminated construction and stabilized wood might be just as "useable," while also looking pretty darn good. Here is what Burt put together (minus one of his excellent sheaths and a matching belt, which should be coming right up).

Enjoy,

John

That's is a beautiful piece that no doubt will perform exceptionally well. I am a huge fan of Burt's work in general and his laminated blades in particular. Congrats!

WOW!

The whitetail are going to be lining up for the privilege of being skinned by that one...

Beautiful color contrast in the Buckeye Burl and super nice blade.

Burt Foster's laminated blades are so cool to see,

I've got one of Burt's Damascus personals and it finds it's way to my belt quite often. His work is superb. Enjoy!

If that knife gets used, I want to see a picture of it in use. That is a beauty!! Dunno if I could bring myself to cutting up a hog with it.

There are no whitetails in Seoul??? :foot:

Seriously bro, that is an AMAZING piece, CONGRATS

No whitetails here, but plenty of hogs. Civilian hunting is strictly controlled here, mostly due to an odd combination of gun control and poaching problems, but I'm looking into it.

Stunning!! I just put in an order with Burt and it's going to be a long 18 months. Yours is close to exactly what I am ordering. It's too nice not to use.

Congratulations... and nice choice.

Glad to hear ti. I'm only surprised that at Burt's price versus quality ratio you only have to wait 18 months. Get 'em while he's even still taking orders!
