Here is a great example that persistence can pay off for sure! Some of you may remember this one, 2007 BladeForums Bowie of the Year award winner. I will say it was no small task prying this from the hands of a fellow collector and friend. As described on Burt Foster's website:

"Another fighter with a blade of 416 and W-2. The guard, ferrule and butt cap are firestorm pattern damascus. The handle is mammoth ivory. Accents are nickel silver, with a nickel silver button on the butt holding the whole knife together."

This one feels great in the hand and is an off the hook good looking knife.

Thanks, Jon

I was just looking at the knives on his site and was drooling over the pics of this one there.

You are indeed lucky.

Jon, another beauty for the gold towel of excellence. You have really been getting some superb pieces of late. We other forumites need to sequester you. For about a year. So you can't buy anything. So we can!

Best,

Bob

I surely do remember that one. Congratulations on a wonderful acquisition!

Hard to forget this one, Jon.
I'm just as speechless as I was the first time it was shown.
Big time Congratulations !

Bob, there is a reason why I switched to folders and you named it;):D

But seriously Jon is a great guy, with an excellent eye for the good stuff. Jon, congrats with this one.

Another great one, Jon! Don't know how you do it. Your collection has so many knives I'd be proud to own, including this one.
