I know taste in knives--like almost everything else--is quite personal. But I would just like to (re) direct people to Burt Foster's website. The knife he has up as "available" (it is, of course, already sold) is absolutely incredible. Burt is doing phenomenal work at a very fair price, and also happens to be a great guy--What more could you ask for?

Some nice reports on cutting tests too - that knife he made for Wulf looks real nice.

It's even nicer than it looks. :D I use that knife all the time.

I have to agree with everyone else here - the one he just put up for sale is really exceptional. The gold accents look exquisite with that buckeye and the hamon on that blade is intense!

If you ask Burt a question be prepared for all the information Burt has to impart....

I mean this in a totally good way...

At Blade two years ago...I think he made MS then...he was ready to help me figure out how to make a better blae...I mean right now...he talked with me aobut an hour...and gave me more information than I could digest in a week...

Seriously a good guy...I would love to own one of his...

Burt is one of the makers I like to speak too most at the Reno show. Great, great knives, and a good person to boot.

That knife is absolutely beautiful. Takes my breath away, everything on it works perfectly and the description makes me want to pick it up and cut something... :D Maybe I'll get to meet Burt Foster someday too!

I'm lucky to own 4 of Burt's knives, and even the simplest of them is superb in execution. Burt is very high on my list of bladesmiths.

Burt Foster is one of a kind. Not only is he an excellent craftsman and artist, but he's also one heck of a nice guy too.

I bet that is the first time "off the hook" has been used in Shoptalk. :D

Burt's stuff is freakin awesome -- I've only seen a couple in person (through Danbo of course) but all his stuff looks clean as whistles.
