One of the guys here who knows I am a big knife lover gave me a popular science magazine over here in Iraq when he saw the article.
It was a brief one pager and pretty cool.

Sorry, I tried to fix it (the post title)! Appreciate the catch!

Not to hijack the thread but Stefan if you need anything pm me or email me. If you really need a knife fix we could probably send you a kit knife or something. Not sure of what you got to work with over there. I know in Kosovo I make a charcoal forge and did some primitive bladesmithing.

Keep safe, be friendly but don't befriend and watch your six.

I have been thinking about making a coal forge. The hard part is getting the time to put it together (get the equipment, coal, hammer, anvil, blower for the coal, material, files).

You can make a box bellows for a blower using 90mph tape for the flaps and most of the construction or go the PX and get a hair dryer lol. Charcoal comes from the Mess Sgt (you haven't pissed him off have ya?)

I forgot, you're an ossifer.... get your Top's scrounger on it.

I'm on a MiTT, which translates to no love, and no support.

Oh yahhhhh forgot about that.... btw did you ever hook up with MAJ Ryan W.

Charcoal can be made from pallet wood (I know wood is a scarce commodity) MRE box could become a box bellow, I'll send you a 3# cross pein.... on the other hand wouldn't you like some kits instead :p

Sorry, but I haven't. My little hole in the wall has kept me from getting out of the province.

I'm thinking about the idea of setting up a forge again. It might be a good thing for me.
