Got the new Koyote Bush Beater out for a little work today. I split some firewood into kindling first, I found the geometry to be a little different than I am used to. I came down on the first strike very lightly, and the blade didn't bite, it bounced back. I felt the edge (yep its sharp), and swung again with more force and the blade went straight threw the wood and split it. It seems to chop more like a hatchet than a knife. So I split more fire wood and than went and chopped down three small pine trees. I would say that this blade is a good a chopper as I own. Each swing draws a good sized chunk of wood off the tree and blade really penetrates, with no binding. I also gave it a good toughness test, beating it on piece of oak for a few minutes with real force and saw no edge damage. I am very impressed with this knife, it is a no BS, big, tough chopper. Feels good in the hand too...
