A piece of cloth can do so much. Furoshiki is the art of folding cloth and what I have applied for use in the field...

Awesome man. I'm going to have to google search Furoshiki. I carry a shemagh all the time when out in the bush. One of the most used items in my kit. I've done the fanny pack thing a few times. What knot do you use? I've had good luck with a square knot. (Sorry if it was covered in the vid. I can't watch it with sound.)

great stuff. thanks for the video. I also always have a shemagh on me and those are some nice little pouches

The title of the thread conjures up an amusing picture in my head.

I was talking with friend about the name and I was debating on abo-cloth or bush-cloth and obviously I had the same thought as you even though I went with bush-cloth... Any rate, my friend suggested bush-rag of which I immediately said, "your kidding, right?" :)

I've been playing with the Shemaugh for the last couple of weeks. I like it for some things and not others. I thought it would be a great piece of cloth as a catch it for my shavings and twigs and such due to its size. However the loose weave and little threads have a way of clinging on wood bits and twigs and snags from brambles and such. I'll go back to using my tarp as the catchall. They are a great piece of kit though. Love the fold it into a murse concept.

Agreed on the shemagh material, especially in cold weather being cotton. Bushcraft Outfitters is working on a wool one and a wool sash. Let's hope!
