Bush craft in training

Live in Florida (near Tampa) and would like to do some hiking and bush craft skills not sure where to go,any ideas! would like to hike bout an hr or two in, stay awhile, then hike out maybe make a fire if possible,near a stream or lake.

I've spent a few nights in Myakka River state park near Sarasota. That's fairly close to you. Some nice hiking/walking trails and overnight car camping spots. You can also rent a canoe and spend some time exploring.
