Here's this new bush kitchen rig. The blade length is 8 inches from 1095. It's a full tang construction with wrapped mahogany scales and matching scabbard. The scales are pinned under the wrappings. The wrappings, loops and neck strap are woven cotton cord. The mahogany and wrappings are sealed with orange flake shellac. The neck strap is completely adjustable and removable.

Thanks!

What's that off in the distance, a baby coyote?

... anyone down for some Sonoran stir fry?

While the blade is nice, for the kitchen OR the bush, I have to admit that the sheathing is a terrific idea! Terribly Scandi in a sense, as I just saw one of Eric Bergland's knives sheathed in wood, and how it adds to the whole visual package!... I like it!

That's very nice, Tai. You've managed to do something difficult - make a knife featuring a prominent straight flat line in its design that's also beautiful and flows! Honestly, I didn't think it was possible until now. Bet it's sharp too!

I envision the Maitre D' at a prestigious restaurant in a metropolis carrying that rig around as he visits the tables. "Can I help you with that shrimp's tail, madam...???!

As always the fresh approach, Tai. Thanks!
