Hi.

This is the second knives I finished over the weekend.
It is the partner to the other Bush Knife. Made of 01 Tool Steel Bar Stock. Buckeye Burl handles which have been filled, hardened and stabilized by me. The pins are brass to compliment the earth tones of the beautiful wood.

This one has an OAL of 9 1/8" with a blade length of 4 3/8".
I made another knife from the same block of Buckeye. The pics of that one should be posted right before this one.

I list every week on e-bay as bladenknives. Check it out.

Thanks for looking,
Rick

Great looking knife! Interesting finish on the blade. Mind sharing how that's done? Thanks. -Matt-

The design involves a very light acid treatment to help stain the blade and help protect it. It is one of those things that you have to see to believe. I took several different ideas and blended them into my own trademark idea.

If your selling on ebay why not here also?

Showing my knives here may just be the first step to selling my work here. I started selling on e-bay about a year ago and got very comfortable doing it. I have some VERY LOYAL buyers there, some of whom I would consider friends. One of which actually referred me to this forum.
I also like to sell on e-bay because I kinda like the auction format. I can set a price that is the minimum I would like to take on a knife but if there is a demand for it, the price could shoot way up there!
However, e-bay is also a place where people go to look for bargains. I respect that. I shop on e-bay for a lot of my handle materials and I look for the bargain. When you sell someplace where you know you are targeting bargain hunters, it is bargain hunters you shall get.
The more I delve into BladeForums, the more I know that you folks are knife lovers, collectors and makers in the true sense. I am working my way towards selling here, in this forum. Soon I hope.

I have never bought anything from ebay, can you believe that.

I am not a rich man, just a blue collar everyday guy that's a knife nut. Bargains and knives at a fair price I can afford is what I look for. I think there are allot of guys here looking for the same, probably in a price range of $85 to $150, once in a while going higher, if I can be that bold.

But I have supported BF knifemakers since joining 2 months ago. Phillip Patton, Ray Lanconico, NWA Nick, Wendling and a new guy Scott T. Sorry to the guys I didn't buy from yet. Actually I have bought to much and will be putting on the brakes asap.

Very nice, I would like to see if you have any other designs or patterns for the blade and overall knife. Please send pictures my way anytime.

Are you of Dutch decent?

the bigger knife actually. Another guy really wanted it he kept uping his bid. I will have to get another one in the future. I like you design and the way you made it!

With the Von I was wondering, I am half Dutch!
