A friend asked me if I could make him a Bush Monkey version of the Canadian Belt Knife survival model. I passed the project off to my R & D director "Tony" (below) and this is what he came up with... in his favorite color of course - Olive Drab:

CHUPACABRA: 9" OAL. 01 tool steel 4" x 1.75 x 3/16 scandi bevel blade. Stainless corby bolts, bead blast G10, flared stainless lanyard tube. With kydex sheath.

That's Cool, I really like the OD G10!

First off Great looking knife, I love it.
And if you radiused those handles the way I think you did, great idea.
Now to the workshop to experiment.

C'mon now. We don't share secrets amongst friends.

Did you router that sucker Monkey man?

I thought that was a given. How else can you radius a handle to those tolerances?...I suppose you could do it on a mill but a router with a roundover bit is simple. Just keeping things simple (as always) - no "Monkey Business" here :D

Looks good.

Nice and clean. I like this design a lot.... that bead-blast finish on the handles must make it nice and grippy too

Great looking blade, MonkeyNutz..... some of the cleanest handlework I've ever seen. Give Tony a peanut for me, eh?

Thank you all for looking and taking the time to comment. I am pleased that you find my work worthy of compliment. Tony has a few other "tweaks" in mind for the Chupacabra - stay tuned...
