Bush Monkey Knives?

Opinions on Bush Monkey Knives? A coworker asked me about them and I have no idea. Their own website says that they are not well liked by the "knife comunity" even mentioned BF. Why is this? My search only resulted in old For Sale postings.

Maybe its me but searching like crazy and not seeing much. Don't see what all the hooplah is about. Saw some bickering about the way he advertised on one of his posts. Saw some questions about his starter kit idea that seemed more like an assembly kit. But as for the knives themselves- I saw a very positive review thread and positive comments under his knife postings. So is that it? Good knives but questionable business practices? I don't mean to bring up old controversy but someone I work with likes the look of em and likes the military service they share. I have never even seen a BMK in person, held one or used one. But somehow at work I became "the knife guy" wether I want to be or not or deserve to be. So any input on the knives would be helpful. Appear to be basic designs with strong materials. Bevel/edge looks kind of small. Thoughts?
