It's never been easier to become a knifemaker. I am considering offering these (in the future) without the Bush Monkey stamp
so the knifemaker who engineers and builds the knife can put his maker's mark on it. Go from clueless to glueless in one elegant step.

Knifemaking made so simple, a monkey can do it!

- NOT FOR SALE -

Hey there Bub.
No perfection there on that one. Not much of a bevel that's for sure unless the blade is 1/16" thick. And this is NOT the for sale area. Frank

12.5 degrees + 12.5 degrees = Scandi Bevel

...and, it's NOT "FOR SALE"

If it is not for sale, what is it? This looks like a sale without a posted price. Doesn't belong here, doesn't belong in Knifemakers Market. How about pricing it and posting it where it belongs.

I changed the wording of my post to comply with your regulations. Please note that the original post stated: "I will be offering" which implies that at the PRESENT time, the knife is not offered. I will, of course, comply with whatever you determine is appropriate but the post is informational and it is not a solicitation.

Not a joke at all. I am considering the possibility of offering the knifemaking materials above at some point in the future. What are your thoughts
on the "Knifemaker Starter Kit"?

Seems like a good idea for the aspiring knife maker or the hobbiest in general.

Thank you and congratulations on having an immunity to Bush Monkey Derangement Syndrome - were you vaccinated or do you have a genetic immunity to BMDS? Aspiring knifemakers would like the idea of selecting their own scale material and bolt/handle finish. I made this one in about 6 hours today - 5/6 of that was heat treat - gotta love the programmable Paragon no brainer heat treat and Canola (of course).

Seems like a good idea for the aspiring knife maker or the hobbiest in general.

As long as I can trust the heat treat and quality of the materials, I think it's a great idea.

so you're considering supplying a completely ground, heat treated and sharpened blade and a set of fitted and shaped scales so all the person has to do is insert & tighten 3 sets of machine screws?

I don't know maybe you should send me a kit so I can find out ;-)

I'm not clear if it's a kit, or just a knife the maker forgot to assemble.

Sounds perfect for me ( not much of a knife maker) ;-)

The "Become a Knifemaker Kit" could be offered in whatever degree of completion the new knifemaker desires. For example: the scales could be pre drilled but not shaped.

So this whole thread is an ad for an upcoming product?

also, judging from the amount of assembly that is seemingly required, it is not the "become a knifemaker" kit, it would be the "become like a factory worker in china" kit.

I love when you post BMK, always pointless and entertaining. I think you like being being the center of attention even if its bad lol

FYI - We are in the process of developing a vaccine for Bush Monkey Derangement Syndrome and you are near the top of the "Vaccinate First" list. Until then, dont make a fool of yourself any more than you already have - read your posts over the past 8 months related to BMK and Bush Monkey Knives as I encourage all visitors to my website to do.

Bushmonkey-
Apparently, you enjoy bending over......
Why make a big, wide blade with a tiny little bevel? That's a lot of wasted steel, and not much of a blade.
Expand your horizons a little and learn about blade grinds instead of making "knife-shaped objects."
