The price is about $20 different, steel is different. 5160 vs 1095. how is the quality comparison between the two, are the sheaths the same?

Steel is actually same. Verified by Justin many times over. The difference is in the thickness of the blade.

5160. Reason for the wrong steel info or the lack of effort to correct it is unknown to me..

Same steel as PatriotDan stated. I went with the bush series for my Afghan. 3/16 of 5160 is plenty good and the reduced weight is appreciated when hiking. Sheaths are absolutely horrible especially with the thinner bush series. Ordered a kydex sheath for mine. Extremely happy now :)

You can't go wrong with either. I prefer thick wide blades for HD work & 3/16" thick blades for kitchen type work. I have a Ranger sig series RD-6 that i love. I also love all my Beckers. If i was to reccomend one to do all things, it would probably be a Becker BK5.
