Just felt like adding a pic

If anybody is still looking there is an orange one on e-bay for $130 (not mine)

I love the Busbboot. Really an underappreciated model. I have several in the Bladeshow ztash!

I really wish I could go to the Blade Show this year. I've never been there and it would be awesome to see a full table of your work Andy.

I'm going to have a very full table this year, and I'm getting really excited about it. I am working so hard now that I haven't given myself time for a picture thread. The first machete came back all duracoated as well. I'm getting excited about these.

I've been giving Bushboots a lot of consideration lately as a whitetail knife. I like a smaller blade for field dressing. I think the blade shape of a Bushboot and a convex edge would work out very well.

I think you are right Dave. I have a Bushboot, and although I haven't field dressed any game with it, the shape would seem right to me. Let me say again though, I haven't field dressed any game with it and no near plans on the horizon to do same.

I love the Bushboot too!

I received mine from the May 4th batch on Saturday; it was love at first sight when I took it out of the package. I used it for virtually all my knife tasks this weekend and it quickly became one of my favorites. Despit it's smaller size, it's really substantial feeling in the hand; you don't get the feeling that your holding a small knife suitable for only for light duty tasks.

Yet it's also quick and very nicely balanced. It would be a pleasure to use on medium-sized game. I can't imagine too many scenarios in which the Bushboot wouldn't be useful; not only useful, but really the first knife I might reach for. Obviously, sometimes you just need a big blade. For me though, that's pretty rare. I don't spend too much time clearing away brush when I'm hiking or camping; and battoning large pieces of wood, while very cool, is something I mainly do for practice when I'm in my back yard and bored.

I also really dig the sheath. I'm not sure which one of our fine sheath artists made this one; a simple rectangular "bushcraft" style pouch, but I like it alot. It rode nicely on a few hikes and it just looks good.

If you've never considered a Bushboot, give it a second look. If you have and are on the fence, jump in with both feet. You won't be disappointed.
