Bushcraft Bacon !

I went back out in the woods with my son for a bushcraft feast: bacon and steak cooked on a fire. I also did a quick review of the Helicon Tex swagman roll and ponch I have been using for the last year. It's a solid and multifunctional piece of kit.

Good for you Roger. You are keeping the faith. I still have these interests, but metal detecting has over taken most of my spring, summer and fall. Now I just go out and fart around with an Emberlit in the winter, making tea etc. It's still good though as it brings me peace, and I get to play with some toys. It also reveals strengths or weaknesses in my skills/abilities/equipment. I want to have the ability to get myself get out of a jack pot, and not be located in the fetal position hugging my Malibu Barbie, until found.
