I know,I know another "What bushcraft knife for me" thread:rolleyes:.Anyway I have a Desire for a "bushcraft" blade. I started this thread with the knowledge that someone would ask "Whats your definition of a bushcraft knife" and my answer is a razor sharp FFG or scandi grind carbon steel blade. 10-15cm blade and a ergonomic handle that is comfortable for a variety of grips for extended use that has a sufficient guard for saftey. It doesn't have to be full tang but it does have to be durable enough to do light batoning. This blade will be used in tandem with an ESEE Junglas so the Junglas will do anything that this knife is to small to do but it will also be used for a belt knife so nothing to frail.I know a lot of people are thinking "Mora Mora Mora" but own a mora and want something a little stockier and with a different handle then that of the Mora Clipper. Also I have a budget so I would like to keep it under $50 but absolutly no more than $90. You can see the tight guidelines I have to work with so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Haven't held one, but the Condor Bushlore deserves a look based on your criteria.
It comes in wood or Micarta (a bit more expensive) handles.

Good luck in your hunt. I'm out of ideas that meet your criteria in your price range.

Have you thought about the newer Mora Companion Heavy Duty? I just got one, carbon steel, supposed to be thicker blade, thicker handle than some of the other Moras.

Since you already have your Big Chopper knife and a Mora, how about a classic 7" KaBar with Kraton handle? Got one, pretty good 'medium' choice. Ontario SP1 (straight edge) is another versatile 'medium' choice, lanyard & good ergo's, $37 on AMazon.

Yes this is the Mora i had and it is a little too small. And I already got a BK7 :D need I say more?

Check out Boker Plus 02BO296 Bushcraft Knife: I think if you want a bushcraft knife that will be a good choice.

I feel bad shooting down every ones ideas but I don't think I could accept a blade with 440C blade steel.
